In January 2019, the value of industrial production (manufactured goods and rendered industrial services) in Azerbaijan totaled 3.8 billion manats, which is 3.4 percent more than in January 2018, Trend reports referring to Azerbaijan’s State Statistical Committee.
The non-oil sector of Azerbaijan’s industry grew by 13.8 percent compared to January 2018.
The share of the private sector in the industry was 81.5 percent.
The production value in the extractive industry for the reported period amounted to 2.7 billion manats (a 2.3 percent growth over a year).
During the period, Azerbaijan produced 3.3 million tons of oil, while production of natural gas for consumption amounted to 2 billion cubic meters.
During the period, gas production in Azerbaijan grew 23.1 percent compared to January 2018.
The production value in the processing industry was 830.7 million manats in January 2019, which is 11.9 percent more than in January 2018.
The share of production, distribution and supply of electricity, gas and steam in the total industrial production was 4.8 percent, while the share of water supply, waste treatment and processing was 0.7 percent.
