Cost of new Azerbaijani-Turkish JV revealed

The Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Azerbaijan together with Turkish businesswomen is working on issues related to the creation of a new textile mini-plant for the production of socks, Sakina Babayeva, head of the Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Azerbaijan, told Trend.
She said that the preliminary cost of the workshop is estimated at 1.5 million manats.
“Textile production is planned to open in the Fizuli district of Azerbaijan,” she noted. “The main issues related to the production process, as well as the selection of personnel, are being discussed. We plan to launch the plant in the summer of this year.”
She added that the workshop for the production of socks may be commissioned in August this year.
She said that 75 women workers will be involved in the production process.
Over 143,000 women are engaged in business sphere in Azerbaijan, according to statistics.
The Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Azerbaijan was created with the support of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs of Azerbaijan and was established in October 2017.
