Kazakhstan to allocate $1.19B to improve life of population

This year, Kazakhstan will direct 446.7 billion tenge to improve the life of the population, Trend reports via Kazakh media.

For 3 years, 2 trillion tenge will be allocated for this, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Alikhan Smailov said.

"The largest funds will be directed on strengthening social support for certain categories of citizens. This is about 1.3 trillion tenge for 3 years, and 226.7 billion tenge in 2019," he noted.

At the same time, the provision of housing for certain categories of citizens will require an additional 300 billion tenge, 100 billion tenge annually.

The first deputy prime minister said that special attention will be paid to the development of regional infrastructure: financing in this area will exceed 900 billion tenge until 2025 from the national and local budgets.

"It is planned to allocate an additional 320.9 billion tenge from the national budget in 2019-2021, including 90 billion tenge in 2019. From local budgets it will be necessary to allocate 101.1 billion tenge, 32 billion tenge in 2019," Smailov said.

He also noted that the draft law on the national budget adjustment will be provided in the near future.
