Uzbekistan has lowered the price of gas for local boiler houses, the partnership of private homeowners (PPHO), Trend reports with reference to a government decree.
Before, when using natural gas in local boilers for heating purposes, PPHO qualified as wholesale consumers and paid a tariff of 600 soums, while the cost of natural gas used by the population for household needs is 320 soums. It caused fair indignation of the population living in houses with local boiler rooms.
The Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers amended the acts regulating the use of natural gas. Now the tariff for natural gas, which is established for residential consumers, is applied to local boiler houses as well.
As a result, from April 1 to May 31, 2019, the cost of gas for them will be 320 soums per 1 cubic meter, and from June 1, 2019, 350 soums per 1 cubic meter.
