Kerman province has the potential to participate in a pilot project related to five-megawatt solar power stations in Iran, chairman of the Iranian Parliament's Economic Commission Mohammadreza Puribrahimi said.
Thus, 700 solar power stations have been built for families who are under the patronage of the Imam Khomeini Imdad Committee in the province, Puribrahimi added, Trend reports referring to IRNA.
He added that 520 solar power stations are ready for commissioning.
There are approximately 103,000 families under the patronage of the Imam Khomeini Imdad Committee in the Kerman province, Puribrahimi said.
Presently, this committee is building five-kilowatt solar power stations for families in the Kerman province, he said.
