EBRD expects Georgian economy to grow

European Bank for Reconstruction and Development has has confirmed the growth of Georgia’s GDP by 4.5 percent in 2019, Trend reports via the EBRD press office.

“European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in expecting the GDP of Georgia to grow by another 4.5 percent in 2020,” the report said.

“Georgian economy is going through the drastic economic growth period. In 2018 the GDP of the country has increased by 4.7 percent, which is mainly due to the expansion in the spheres such as trade, transport, real estate, as well as the sector of financial intermediation,” reads the message.

The government of Georgia is expecting the GDP of the country to grow by 4.5 percent in 2019, whereas the International Monetary Fund and World bank expect it to grow by 4.7 percent and Asian Development Bank predicts it to increase by 5 percent.
