Belarus, Uzbekistan to permit trucking of cars without authorizations

Belarus and Uzbekistan will permit cargo transportation of cars with a carrying capacity of up to 3.5 tons without authorizations, Trend reports citing Belta.

This measure is provided for by new protocol on introducing changes and additions to the agreement on international automobile communications, which was concluded between the governments of the two countries on December 22, 1994, the Deputy Chairman of the Standing Committee on Labor and Social Affairs of the House of Representatives of Belarus Oleg Levshunov said.

The draft law on its ratification is being prepared for consideration by deputies of the House of Representatives.

Belarus and Uzbekistan signed the intergovernmental agreement on international automobile communication in 1994. It provides for the possibility of road transport in bilateral, transit traffic and transportation to / from third countries.

The recent amendments provide for carrying out the carriage of goods on vehicles with a carrying capacity of up to 3.5 tons without authorization and for mutual exemption from fees and charges.

The agreement is harmonized with the national legislation. Amendments will allow providing an unambiguous understanding of the requirements and conditions for the implementation of international road transport in the territories of Belarus and Uzbekistan.
