Construction work is being actively carried out for all-day water supply in Chiatura (Imereti region, Western Georgia), Trend reports via Georgia's Accent News.
The project is being implemented by the United Plumbing Company.
The central pumping station in the city should have long been restored. Due to outdated and depreciated water infrastructure, Chiatura’s water comes supply is limited, adjusted to a schedule.
In the frame of the project, there will be a completely new water collector reservoir and boreholes. A water chlorination station will be constructed. The work will involve arrangement of water supply distribution network, rehabilitation of existing pump stations and reservoirs and a new reservoir will be built.
After completion of the work, problems with water supply in the city will be finally eliminated.
The project is funded by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) at 36,631,493 lari, and construction work will be completed by December.
