Sales of Fostanpak, an Azerbaijani company engaged in the production of plastic aluminum containers, paper and plastic glasses, increased significantly over the last two months of this year, Ali Keresh, the head of the sales department of the company, told Trend.
According to him, while there was a decline in sales by almost 50 percent since the beginning of the year, this indicator rose by 40-45 percent starting from April.
"In my opinion, 2 factors contributed to the increase in sales. The first of these is the seasonal factor: our sales generally start to grow closer to the summer period. Second, there was an influx of foreign tourists in Baku during the reporting 2 months, especially in light of the sporting events held. Considering the summer season, a large customer base is formed in cafes and restaurants," Keresh said.
According to him, the decline in sales will begin in mid-autumn and intensify in the winter season.
Fostanpak is also engaged in the production of medical and cleaning products, stretch films, foils and other disposable products under the "Monopak" brand name.
The company is also the distributor of many foreign companies, manufacturers of Germany, Turkey, Denmark, Poland, Ukraine Russia and China in Azerbaijan.
