In May 2019, Turkey's trade turnover with the US increased by $181.168 million compared to May 2018 and amounted to $1.787 billion, Trend reports referring to Turkish Ministry of Trade.
In this period, Turkey's exports to the US amounted to $784 million, while imports from the US amounted to $1.003 billion.
The ministry noted that Turkey's trade turnover with the US in January-May 2019 decreased by $479.850 million and amounted to $7.8 billion.
In January-May 2019, Turkey's exports to the US amounted to $3.4 billion, while imports from the US amounted to $4.4 billion.
The total foreign trade turnover of Turkey in May 2019 amounted to $34.633 billion.
In May 2019, Turkish exports increased by 0.5 percent compared to May 2018 and amounted to $16.334 billion.
In the reported period, Turkey's imports decreased by 17.81 percent compared to May 2018 and amounted to $18.299 billion.
