National oil company of Kazakhstan KazMunayGas together with largest Russian oil company TATNEFT agreed on cooperation in sphere of geological exploration, Trend reports with reference to the press office of KazMunayGas.
On July 10, 2019 Member of the Board of Directors of KazMunayGas Alik Aidarbayev and delegation of the company visited the capital of Russian Tatarstan Republic Kazan city, within the framework of which the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with TATNEFT company took place.
The signed Memorandum allows to expand cooperation between companies in the area of geological exploration on the territories of Kazakhstan and Russia; to organize scientific and design work in the area of crude oil production, as well as to develop new equipment and oil production technologies. The plans also provide for partnership relations development when implementing projects for the construction and modernization of oil refining, petrochemical and, gas chemistry processing facilities.
Aidarbayev noted, that strong relations connect both companies in spheres of technical knowledge exchange and specialists training.
“I am sure that by signing this Memorandum we improve our joint work. The prospects of developing Caspian oil-and-gas-bearing depression arises interest in major global oil companies. Russian, including Tatarstan, companies could become active participants in the development,” he concluded.
