Sheki Sherab LLC, an Azerbaijani winery, plans to export white wine varieties to China, the winery’s director Vidadi Hasanov told Trend.

He said that the deliveries are expected closer to the end of this year.

“We intend to sign a contract with the Chinese side on the supply of varieties of white wine at a wholesale price of about $3 per bottle,” he noted. “Most of the exports will account for the “Bouquet Sheki” and “Askona” brands from Rkatsiteli, Saperavi, Madrasa, Muscat, Chardonnay and Merlot grapes. These high quality wines are made according to European technologies.”

He noted that 500,000 liters of wine were produced in 2018.

“We plan to double this figure by the end of this year in order to increase the export potential,” he added.

Sheki Sherab LLC was founded in 2006 with design production capacity of 280,000 bottles of wine. The company has equipment supplied by Italian company “Della Toffola.”

There are workshops for receiving grapes, and producing and bottling of various brands of wine at the plant. The plant has two bunkers for receiving white and red grape varieties, two production lines for white and red wines, and one more line for the production of elite wines.
