Sheki Sherab LLC, an Azerbaijani winery, has signed a contract for the supply of alcoholic beverages to Spain, the winery’s director Vidadi Hasanov told Trend.

The contract envisages the supply of 200,000 bottles of wine to Barcelona, he said.

"Primary deliveries will begin in the coming months and they will be small. We intend to send up to 18,000 bottles as the first batch. Subsequent deliveries will be stable at the amount of 200,000 bottles monthly," he added.

The director noted that following the grape harvest in the current season, the company expects to acquire up to 2,000 tons of grapes.

"We expect to produce up to 130,000 decaliters of wine from this harvest. Our alcoholic beverages are intended for export to neighboring countries and to Europe," Hasanov said.

Sheki Sherab LLC was founded in 2006 with the initial production capacity of 210,000 decalitres, which corresponds to 2.8 million bottles of wine.

The enterprise has buildings for packaging, weighing, office building, pump room, as well as premises for various technological equipment.
