Single Kazakh region paying over 50% to National Fund account

Kazakhstan’s Atyrau region is leading by the value of payments to the country’s budget alongside with Almaty and Nur-Sultan cities, the Head of the Region Nurlan Nogayev said, Trend reports with reference to the press office of the regional akimat (administrative center).

According to Nogayev the value of payments is steadily increasing: 591 billion tenge in 2015, 815 billion tenge in 2016, 1.047 trillion tenge in 2017 and 1.388 trillion tenge in 2018.

Furthermore, 50 percent of the country’s payments to the National Fund of Kazakhstan accounts for the region.

During last three years (2015-2018) the value of the GDP increased 5.2 trillion tenge to 7.894 trillion tenge. The share of the region in GDP of the country is 15.6 percent.

The share of the region in consolidated budget of Kazakhstan amounted to 24.8 percent in 2018, which supports its status as one of the main donors of country’s budget.

The number of small and medium business entities registered in the region is 57,843 units as of August 1, 2019. Some 48,581 units of them are the operating ones, which is an increase of 106 percent compared to the same period of last year.

Within the framework of investments activities for 2019-2024 the implementation of 11 projects worth 1.4 million tenge is overseen, which is to create over 2,200 new work places.
