Textile producer in Azerbaijan eyes to resume exports of ready-made clothing

Baku Textile Factory, the biggest textile producer in Azerbaijan, plans to resume exports of ready-made clothing to the markets of Russia and Kazakhstan, Director of the factory and Head of the Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Azerbaijan Sakina Babayeva told Trend.

This includes exports of certain types of corporate clothing, she said.

“The production volumes of this segment of products don’t exceed 35,000 units,” she noted. “We plan to increase production volumes to 40,000-45,000 units next year. Accordingly, we also plan to establish exports in March-April 2020.”

She said that several types of corporate clothing are being produced, designed for bank employees and employees of various industries.

“In the future, we plan to expand the geography of export of our products among the CIS countries and the Far East,” she added.

Seven production lines are operating at the Baku Textile Factory and all function in continuous mode. In total, the enterprise employs 300 professional staff members.

The factory has been operating since 1939. It was the first one in the South Caucasus region in the field of textile industry.

The enterprise carries out its activities in accordance with European standards. It has the latest equipment and applies advanced technologies from Germany and Japan.

The factory’s production includes casual clothing, evening gown, children’s clothing, medical clothing, overalls, school uniforms, sportswear, all types of work clothing, promotional clothing and military uniforms.
