Uzbekistan intends to actively develop livestock

At a meeting dedicated to the priorities of the development of livestock and horticultural industries, Uzbekistan’s President Shavkat Mirziyoyev instructed to pay special attention to the development of livestock breeding, Trend reports with reference to the press service of the head of state.
The ministries of finance, economics and industry have been instructed to develop a mechanism for subsidizing costs and reducing the cost of production, based on foreign experience.
In addition, Mirziyoyev ordered to accelerate the pace of organizing the work of 270 livestock complexes and 260 dairy enterprises in 2019-2021 and to solve the problem of supplying livestock and poultry with fodder.
Currently, the need for feed for livestock is provided only by 30-35 percent in Uzbekistan. In poultry, 85 percent of the needed feed is covered by imports, read the message.
