The production of the sought-after reagent, liquid caustic soda, has been launched at the Maryazot chemical plant in Turkmenistan's Mary region, Trend reports referring to the Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper.
The plant operates under the Turkmenhimiya State Concern (Turkmenchemistry).
Specially for the production of this reagent, experts have built a test unit operating on local raw materials.
The produced reagent fully complies with the requirements of the TDS-2263-79 standard and will be used in the chemical, as well as oil and gas industries of the country.
Turkmenhimiya and the Russian group of engineering companies GIAP signed a framework agreement on the modernization of Maryazot in September 2019.
The start of work is scheduled for 2020. At the first stage, a comprehensive technological survey of the enterprise will be conducted and a technical and commercial proposal will be prepared.
