Flights, passenger traffic of Iran's int’l airport decrease

Slightly over 3.9 million passengers were transported by Iran’s Imam Khomeini International Airport during the six months (March 21-Sept. 22) of this Iranian year (began March 21, 2019), according to the report of the Iranian Airports and Air Navigation Company, Trend reports citing Mehr news agency.

Slightly over 4.3 million passengers were transported by this airport in the same period last year, according to the report.

During the first six months of this Iranian year, 23,221 flights were carried out by the Imam Khomeini International Airport. In the same period last year, 27,569 flights were carried out by this airport.

In the reporting period, the number of flights for the first six months decreased by 15.7 percent and passenger transportation by 8.5 percent compared to the same period last year.

Over the first six months of the previous Iranian year (began March 21, 2017), 31,500 flights were carried out and 5 million passengers were transported.
