In the first six months (21 March to Sept. 22, 2019) of the current Iranian year, the phosphate concentrate output of Iran's Esfordi Phosphate Industrial and Mineral Complex, located in the Bafq county of the country's Yazd province, increased by 20 percent compared to the same periuod of the previous Iranian year, Trend reports referring to Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO).
According to IMIDRO, the company's phosphate plant produced roughly 52,205 tons of phosphate concentrates in the reported six-month period.
For comparison, this figure was 43,504 tons in the same period of the previous Iranian year.
During the reported six-month period, the company sent 17,628 tons of phosphate concentrates to relevant plants, which indicates 465 percent growth compared to the same period last year (3,121 tons), IMIDRO noted.
Moreover, during the reported period, the company extracted 133,392 tons of mining materials, which is 22 percent less compared to the extraction volume in the same period last year (171,793 tons), IMIDRO reported.
The Esfordi Phosphate Industrial and Mineral Complex is owned by IMIDRO.
