TEHRAN, Iran, Jan.13
Trend:
Iran's Securities and Exchange Organization agenda is to transform the capital market into international market, said Vice Chairman Foreign Investment Affairs Department Securities and Exchange Organization.
"The plan is to communicate with the world and global players in the capital market," said Bahador Bijani, Trend reports citing IRNA.
The official added that attracting foreign investors is part of the process to create an international capital market.
"Since the changes in the US administration, we have tried to transform capital market to international level. Our main attempt was to accelerate foreign investment in Iran's stock exchange," Bijani said. "Foreign investors that make long-term investments in Iran's market shall be important players on the Iran's capital market."
"Short-term investments will be affected by recent events, while investors with long-term outlook will not leave the market. Despite recent escalation of tensions, no change has occurred in foreign investments," he said.
