Kazakhstan’s Astana International Financial Center (AIFC) and Rosgeology Russian multidisciplinary geological holding company have agreed to cooperate in order to attract alternative sources of financing for geological exploration, Trend reports with reference to AIFC.

The corresponding Memorandum of Cooperation for creation of a digital platform for funds attraction in AIFC was signed during the World Economic Forum held in Davos.

“The AIFC regulatory regime allows to manage the use of new financial instruments, including attracting investments and asset tokenization through blockchain technology. Cooperation with Rosgeology is a vivid example of the use of fintech solutions,” AIFC Governor Kairat Kelimbetov said.

According to Head of Rosgeology Sergey Gorkov the holding is pleased to join forces with the AIFC to develop a digital platform for the early financing of junior companies, designed to become an innovative tool for attracting private investment in exploration.

The digital platform will be implemented using modern blockchain technologies with tokenized assets and digital means of supporting liquidity and crypto protection.

AIFC’s goal is to form a leading center of financial services at the international level. AIFC objectives are to assist in attracting investment in the country’s economy, create an attractive environment for investing in financial services, develop the securities market of Kazakhstan and ensure its integration with international capital markets.

Rosgeology is a Russian multidisciplinary geological holding company that provides a full range of services related to geological exploration.
