Azerbaijan’s Akkord Industry Construction Investment Corporation OJSC plans to launch a new large-scale project with Azfen company soon, a source in the corporation told Trend.
“The corporation has signed a contract with Azfen, according to which it will supply metal structures for the implementation of a major construction project. Within the framework of the project, we will provide metal construction in several stages. In the first stage of the construction of the facility we are going to provide 500 tons of metal structures," said the source.
"Currently, we are able to produce over 300 tons of metal every month, but, due to the participation of the company in the new project, we are going to increase production by two or more times,” the source in the company said.
The source also added that starting date for the implementation of the project will be announced over the next two weeks.
Akkord Industry Construction Investment Corporation OJSC was established in August 2010 and operates in two segments - construction and production.
In particular, the corporation is engaged in the production of various building materials, is a contractor for a number of projects for the construction of road transport infrastructure, and is also involved in the construction of residential complexes in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula.
