As many as 1,000 hectares of greenhouses will be commissioned in Iran in the current Iranian year (started from March 20, 2020), said Managing Director of the Iranian Agricultural Parks Company Ali Ashraf Mansori, Trend reports citing Ministry of Agriculture Jihad.
According to Mansori, so far, 7,250 hectares of greenhouses have been commissioned. He added that also 1,500 hectares for fishing, 600 hectares for livestock and poultry sectors are planned to be commissioned this year.
The official said that Iran plans to provide 40 trillion rials (about $952 million) in loans to investors in the agricultural sector.
"These loans will be provided in three areas: greenhouses, fishing, livestock and poultry," he said.
The official said that the issuance of loans will help solve the problem of unemployment in the provinces of Iran and increase exports.
