Kazakhstan’s Qazgeology company has started field work at Taiojnoye field, which is 200 km East of country’s Karaganda city, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources.

Geological exploration is carried out in order to search for copper-zinc mineralization using advanced electromagnetic surveys. Based on the results of the work implemented and geological exploration routes, certification verification wells with a depth of up to 500 meters are to be established in the future.

The ministry also noted that field reconnaissance work has begun on new projects of Kherson and Sanasap in Kazakhstan’s Aktobe region, where ore objects of copper-pyrite genesis are expected to be identified.

This month, routes and preparatory work are planned at the Takyrnoye section in the Zhambyl region, where a large volume of graded drilling is also planned to study the rocks of the Paleozoic basement and secondary dispersion halos in 2020.

Takyrnoye ore field is a promising area for identification of gold ore, polymetallic and tin-polymetallic types deposits.

The ministry emphasized that the initial stage of work for each project is very important, as it lays the foundation for the methodology for further exploration work and the correct assessment of the prospects of the studied areas.
