Domestic Producer Price Index for Industrial Products down in Georgia

The Domestic Producer Price Index for Industrial Products (DPPI) in Georgia decreased by 0.5 percent in May 2020 compared to the previous month, Trend reports with reference to National Statistics Office (Geostat).

In the mentioned period, the prices for electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning were 4.4 percent lower.

In May 2020, the DPPI increased by 6.3 percent compared to May 2019. The prices went up for mining and quarrying products by 11.3, for manufactured products by 6.9 percent and for products from electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning by 21.9 percent

Meanwhile, in April 2020, DPPI increased by 0.7 percent compared to March 2020 in Georgia. In the mentioned period, the prices for manufactured products increased by 1.8 percent.

In April 2020, the DPPI increased by 7.1 percent compared to April 2019,. The prices went up for mining and quarrying products by 8.7, for manufactured products by 7.1 percent and for products from electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning by 22.1 percent.
