Russia’s United Shipbuilding Corporation and Turkmenistan’s Balkan pant will sign a memorandum for the delivery of ships assembled in Saint Petersburg to Turkmenistan, Trend reports with reference to Saint Petersburg City Administration official website.
The details of memorandum were discussed during a videoconference of Deputy Chairman of the Committee for External Relations of Saint Petersburg Andrey Khlutkov and Deputy Chairman of Turkmen Deniz Derya Yollary Agency (Turkmen State Service of Maritime and River Transportation) Annadurda Kosyaev.
In addition, the parties discussed the cooperation prospects between the shipyards of the two countries.
The parties also considered the possibility of opening new logistics routes between the port of Turkmenbashi and the ports of the Russian Federation located on the coast of the Caspian Sea.
The companies from Saint Petersburg work in Turkmenistan in such areas as the design and construction of road transport infrastructure, fire protection structures and develop partnerships in the field of industry, shipbuilding, technology and innovation.
Turkmenistan has been actively establishing business ties with Russian regions in recent years, including Tatarstan and Saint Petersburg.
