Production of mineral fertilizers in Turkmenistan increased by 42.1 percent from January through August of this year compared to the same period last year, Trend reports with reference to the Business Turkmenistan information portal.
The largest growth in production was accounted for nitrogen fertilizers – their production increased by 52.3 percent.
Thus, Turkmenistan’s Turkmenhimiya State Concern exceeded the annual plan for the production of fertilizers. As of August, the plan was exceeded by 9.3 percent.
Meanwhile, the value of exports of Turkmen fertilizers from January through July of this year increased by 73.4 percent compared to the same period last year.
Turkmenistan has delivered more than 700,000 tons of mineral fertilizers abroad in the reporting period.
As reported, new plants for the production of mineral fertilizers will be built in Turkmenistan.
