Israel's share in total imports of Azerbaijan drops year on year

The volume of foreign trade operations between Azerbaijan and Israel amounted to $404.7 million from January through September 2020, which is 2.7 times or $701.2 million less compared to the same period of 2019, Trend reports citing the statistical bulletin of the State Customs Committee (SCC) of Azerbaijan.

According to the SCC, imports of Israeli products to Azerbaijan decreased from $38.2 million to $22.1 million on an annualized basis. Israel's share in Azerbaijan's total imports for the first nine months of this year amounted to 0.28 percent, while a year earlier - 0.37 percent.

At the same time, exports from Azerbaijan to Israel for 9M2020 amounted to $382.6 million, while a year-earlier - $1.07 billion. Thus, Israel's share in total exports of Azerbaijan decreased from 7.18 to 3.62 percent.

The balance of foreign trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Israel for the reporting period, remaining positive, amounted to $360.4 million.

Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover from January through September 2020 amounted to $18.4 billion, which is 27.1 percent less compared to the same period of 2019.

The balance of foreign trade turnover decreased by 38.6 percent, but remained positive, amounting to $2.75 billion.
