Iran's Ministry of Industry, Mine and is to assign foreign currency for release of imported basic material that is necessary for production units, said Deputy Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade.
"The priority is to provide foreign currency for release of necessary goods for various industrial sectors and reduce concerns of production units," said Mehdi Sadeghi Niaraki, Trend reports citing Mehr News Agency.
"Producers of home appliances are concerned about steel sheet supply and demand situation. Applicants' request for steel sheets would be reviewed," he added in a meeting with members of the Association of the Industries of Home Appliances of Iran.
"It's on our agenda to have transparent approach in reforming supply and demand for these products and provide basic material to manufacturing factories," he noted.
During the following meeting members of the Association of the Industries of Home Appliances of Iran have discussed their concerns in product development and calls for solving problems in joining Iran's cohesive trade system and release of basic materials from customs.
Members of the association have insisted on transparency in steel sheet supply and the priority of producers and increase of credit to industries by the ministry.
