The retail trade turnover of Azerbaijan’s Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic made up over 1.7 billion manat ($1 billion) in 2020, which is 0.7 percent more than in 2019, Trend reports on Jan.14 citing the report of the republic’s State Statistical Committee.
According to the data, the foreign trade turnover of Nakhchivan for the reporting year equaled $510.5 million, up by 2.7 percent compared to 2019.
In the structure of foreign trade turnover, Nakhchivan’s exports accounted for $428.5 million, thus having grown by 0.7 percent over the year, said the report.
Meanwhile, imports to Nakhchivan in 2020 reached $82 million, having grown by 14.7 percent on an annualized basis.
In 2020, the GDP of the republic amounted to 2.9 billion manat ($1.7 billion), which is 1.1 percent higher than in 2019.
