Kazakhstan’s Intergas Central Asia JSC, which operates and maintains the gas transportation system of the country, currently focuses on the development of gas networks in three main directions, a representative of the company told Trend.
According to the representative, for many years the company has been pursuing an active investment policy aimed at reconstruction, restoration and modernization of facilities in order to reduce their deterioration rate and maintain reliable and safe operation of the gas transmission system of trunk gas pipelines.
As he said, at present, the development of gas transmission networks is carried out in three main directions.
“The first direction is targeted on ensuring the reliability and increasing the efficiency of the gas transmission system through the reconstruction and technical re-equipment of facilities on the linear part, compressor stations, underground gas storage facilities,” he noted. “The second direction’s aim is raising the throughput capacity of main gas pipelines via the construction and commissioning of the new pipeline sections, reconstruction of existing and commissioning of new turbo compressor shops.”
“The goal of the third direction is to ensure industrial safety, labor protection and the environment with the exclusion of adverse effects on the population and the environment,” added the representative.
