By Tamilla Mammadova – Trend:

European Fund for Southeast Europe (EFSE) has deep and longstanding partnerships with institutions in Georgia that contribute to the entrepreneurship ecosystem, the EFSE told Trend.

According to the source, these include not only financial service providers, but also organizations that incubate and accelerate startups as well as regulatory bodies such as the National Bank of Georgia.

"In 2020, for example, we collaborated with the Georgia Innovations and Technology Agency (GITA) to support entrepreneurs through an accelerator program that enables access to international best practices and knowledge, the EFSE added.

EFSE worked together with its long-time partner TBC Bank to provide financial and non-financial services to startups and MSMEs, enabling them to develop their business capacity in a responsible and sustainable way, the source said.

The European Fund for Southeast Europe aims to foster economic development and prosperity in the Southeast Europe region and in the European Eastern Neighborhood region through the sustainable provision of additional development finance, notably to micro and small enterprises and private households, via qualified financial institutions.
