A total of 367,000 tons of goods worth more than 46 trillion rials (about $1.09 billion) were sold at the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) in the last Iranian week (March 27 through April 1, 2021), Trend reports citing the IME’s official website.
According to the report, about 195,000 tons of goods worth about 22.6 trillion rials (about $538 million) were sold in the industrial and mining products section of IME last week.
"So, 194,000 tons of steel and 630 tons of aluminum were sold in this section," the report said.
In addition, more than 172,000 tons of various oil and petrochemical products worth about 23.7 trillion rials (about $565 million) were sold in the oil and petrochemical products section of IME last Iranian week, the report said.
According to the report, 36,100 tons of vacuum bottom, 41,900 tons of bitumen, 35,100 tons of polymeric substances, 31,900 tons of chemicals, 25,000 tons of lube cut, 1,340 tons of base oil, 50 tons of sulfur were sold in this section.
Furthermore, 398 tons of various products worth 99 billion rials (about $2.35 million) were sold in the submarket section of the exchange.
