Kazakhstan carrying out several projects to boost local cars manufacturing

The construction of the plant for the production of iron casting continues in Kazakhstan’s Kostanay region, Trend reports citing the Association of Kazakhstan’s Auto Business (AKAB).

The first stage of the plant’s construction is to be finished in October 2021. The plant will be concerned with the manufacturing axle housings, cylinder blocks, and engine cylinder heads for KAMAZ trucks of the K5 type. Some 95 percent of the goods to be produced at the future plant will be exported abroad.

Furthermore, the localization center for manufacturing spare parts for agriculture vehicles, as well as JAC и Chevrolet cars, was commissioned in Kostanay. The center’s capacity is 1,200 spare parts a year.

The construction of the plant for КАМА and Viatti tires production was launched in the country’s Karaganda region. The plant will allow increasing the localization level of the country’s vehicle manufacturing. At the same time, some 40 percent of the goods manufactured at the plant will be exported abroad. The project is to be commissioned before the end of 2022.
