Entrepreneurs from Afghanistan purchased gasoline and aviation kerosene produced at the Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries of Turkmenistan during trading on the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan last week, Trend reports with reference to the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.
In addition, businessmen from Afghanistan purchased ESO-93 gasoline in foreign currency, as well as colorless flat glass, cotton yarn, and dyed terry products together with businessmen from Kyrgyzstan.
The total amount of transactions on the exchange in foreign currency exceeded $29.8 million.
Transactions were also made on the exchange in Turkmen manat. So, entrepreneurs from China bought saradzhinsky wool in the amount of 3.9 million manat ($1.1 million).
In addition, local businessmen purchased polypropylene and packaging film produced at the Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries, as well as hand-made carpets and cotton lint worth over 48.6 million manat ($13.9 million).
In general, 160 were registered on the exchange last week.
As reported, more than 143 transactions were registered on the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan in March 2021.
During the first week of March, 18 deals were made, during the second – 31, the third – 34, and the fourth - 60 deals.
The State Commodity Exchange of Turkmenistan was established on July 29, 1994. It is the most important body of state regulation of export-import operations.
