Exports through Iran's Isfahan Province rise

The exports through the customs of Isfahan Province (central Iran) increased by 362 percent in terms of value and 198 percent in terms of volume in the 1st month of the current Iranian year (March 21 through April 20, 2021), compared to the same month last Iranian year, Director General for Isfahan Province Customs Office, Rasoul Kuhestani said, Trend reports citing Iran Customs Administration (IRICA).

The director general emphasized that about 174,000 tons of goods worth $122 million were exported through the customs of Isfahan Province during 1st month.

Kuhestani said that 5 customs offices of the province were involved in the exports.

He added that 90,000 tons of goods worth $52 million were exported through Isfahan customs checkpoint in the first month. This is an increase of 396 percent in terms of value and 298 percent in terms of volume compared to the same month last Iranian year.

Kuhestani noted that at the same time, 57,000 tons of goods worth $41 million were exported through Kashan customs checkpoint over the reporting month. The exports increased by 303 percent in terms of value and 153 percent in terms of volume compared to the same month last Iranian year.

According to director general, 10,000 tons of goods worth $21 million were exported through the customs in the territory of the Mobarakeh Steel Company within the first month. The exports increased by 402 percent in terms of value and 17 percent in terms of volume compared to the same month last Iranian year.

“In addition, 16,000 tons of goods worth $8 million were exported through the customs in the territory of the Esfahan Steel Company in the 1st month. The is an increase of 365 percent in terms of value and 261 percent in terms of volume compared to the same month last Iranian year,” he said.

Kuhestani also added that 199 tons of goods worth $883,000 were exported through the customs of Shahid Beheshti International Airport during the mentioned month. The exports increased by 12 percent in terms of value and 22 percent in terms of volume compared to the same month last Iranian year.
