Georgia talks details of fruit exports to Turkmenistan

BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 11

Georgia exported 46 tons of apples, pears and quinces worth $27,300 to Turkmenistan from January through April, 2021, the Georgian Agriculture Ministry told Trend.

Also, Georgia exported 55.8 tons of citrus for a total amount of $19,700 to Turkmenistan within the mentioned period.

Also, Georgia exported 10 tons of laurus leaves and other spices production to Turkmenistan for a total of $10,800.

Overall, Georgia exported agricultural production worth $1.7 million to Turkmenistan from January through April 2021.

"As for the agro-production exported from Turkmenistan to Georgia – it has amounted to $411,000," said the ministry.

Georgia has mainly exported soybean syrup, livestock frozen meat, poultry meat and potatoes to Turkmenistan in the reported period, said the ministry.

"Within the same period, Turkmenistan has exported poultry meat, livestock froze meat and wheat pastry to Georgia," the ministry said.
