BAKU, Azerbaijan, Sept. 29
Tamilla Mammadova – Trend:
A plant of energy-efficient high-tech building materials has opened in the village of Lilo, which is located in the suburb of Tbilisi, Georgia, Trend reports referring to the Georgian media.
According to the data, the energy-efficient units will be produced by the German Ytong company at the plant.
Investment in the project is 55 million lari ($18.3 million).
There are plans to employ up to 200 people. The enterprise will produce products worth 30 million lari ($10 million) annually.
The plant was opened within the framework of the "Produce in Georgia" state program. The project was launched by Arki in 2015 with the German partner Ksela Group, Partner Fund and TBC Bank. In 2019, Bikei Construction joined the project partners.
“The first enterprise in the region has been created, which will produce high quality construction products. The main thing here is that the materials from which these products are made are mined in Georgia. Very soon, these products will replace imported ones, and in the future the enterprise will have the opportunity to export them. I always welcome the implementation of such projects in our city, ” said Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze at the opening ceremony of the plant.
Produce in Georgia Agency unites all government programs aimed at promoting the business sector and the country's economic development. The program is aimed at the development of micro and small businesses, the establishment of a modern culture of entrepreneurship and the creation of new jobs.
