Iran is seeking to increase trade ties with Syria by focusing on the private sector, said the Minister of Road and Urban Development Rostam Ghassemi, Trend reports citing Mehr News Agency.
Producing joint products with the help of the private sector could be a suitable base for economic cooperation between the two countries, Ghassemi noted.
He pointed out that both sides held fruitful talks over expansion of economic ties.
"The aim is to implement agreements and memorandum of understanding between Iran and Syria," he said.
