Iran lays foundation for new industrial facilities

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Feb. 7

The foundations of 48 large industrial facilities in Iran’s 13 provinces were laid on February 6, 2022, Trend reports citing Iranian Government’s website (dolat.ir).

According to the report, a total of $17 billion will be spent to build these facilities.

The funds will be spent by Iran's Gol-Gohar Industrial and Mining Company, Mobarakeh Steel Company, National Iranian Copper Industries Company, Chadormalu Mining and Industry Company, Mines and Metals Development Investment Company and Parsian Oil and Gas Development Company.

After the launch of these facilities, 54 million tons of mining, metal and oil products will be produced annually, generating $20 billion of revenues a year ($11 billion - from exports).

In total, 21,000 people will be employed with the launch of these facilities.
