The total amount of transactions at the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan amounted to $96.53 million last week, Trend reported citing Turkmenportal.
Last week 72 transactions were registered at the exchange.
Entrepreneurs from Great Britain, Switzerland, the UAE, Turkey, China and Malta purchased gasoline, petroleum coke, heating oil, refined and unrefined paraffin produced at the Turkmenbashi complex of oil refineries (TCOR).
Businessmen from Russia, the UAE, Turkey, Ukraine, Poland and Afghanistan bought polyethylene, technical iodine and polypropylene produced at the Türkmenhimiýa State Concern.
In addition, businessmen from Turkey, Russia, the UAE, Malta, Poland, and Afghanistan purchased cotton yarn, handmade carpets, denim, and plain-dyed jacquard terry products.
Furthermore, entrepreneurs from India, the UAE, Turkey, Kazakhstan and Afghanistan purchased cotton yarn and handmade carpets worth more than 37.17 million manats ($10.63 million).
Local businessmen purchased Portland cement for the domestic market for a total of about $23,000, as well as high-density polyethylene and handmade carpets for about 4,3 million manats ($1.23 million).
