TEHRAN, Iran, May 14. Iran is looking to improve technology used in its mining sector, as well as improve exploration, said the Deputy Minister of Industries Mine and Trade Reza Mohtashamipour Trend reports citing IRNA.
"New technologies could increase production and the mining industry requires this," he said at the International Innovation & Technology Exhibition (INOTEX).
He pointed out that Iranian Mines & Mining Industries Development & Renovation Company (IMIDRO) is willing to support the knowledge-based and tech companies.
According to Mohtashamipour, Iran's mining industry suffered last winter and summer due to power outages and gas shortage, so the tech companies could offer their solutions to solve the pressing matters with energy.
