BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 7. A total of 2.09 million tons of goods worth about 140 trillion rials (about $3.32 billion) were sold at the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) in the last Iranian week (July 30 through August 4, 2022), Trend reports citing the IME’s official website.

This is an increase of 11.4 percent in value and 1.54 percent in volume, compared to the preceding Iranian week (July 23 through July 28, 2022).

So, 2.06 million tons of goods worth 125 trillion rials (about $2.98 billion) were sold at the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) in the preceding week.

According to the report, 1.68 million tons of goods worth about 77.6 trillion rials (about $1.85 billion) were sold in IME's industrial and mining products section last week.

The main products sold in this section include cement, iron ore, steel, sponge iron, zinc, aluminum, copper, molybdenum concentrate, precious metal concentrate, gold bars and etc.

In addition, 408,000 tons of various oil and petrochemical products worth 61.4 trillion rials (about $1.46 billion) were sold in the oil and petrochemical products section of IME last Iranian week.

The main products sold in this section were polymer substances, vacuum bottom, lube cut, chemicals, sulfur, base oil, bitumen and etc.

Furthermore, 7,860 tons of various products worth 650 billion rials (about $15.5 million) were sold in the submarket section of the exchange.
