BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 16. Kazakhstan’s agriculture, forestry, and fishery gross output amounted to 2.38 trillion tenge ($5.01 billion) over the period from January through July 2022, which is 2.1 percent more compared to the same period of the last year, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.
Some 2.36 billion tenge ($4.9 billion) accounted for agriculture alone, including 402.4 billion ($842 million) accounting for plant growing, and 1.9 trillion tenge ($4.1 billion) - for animal husbandry.
The increase in the agriculture, forestry and fishery gross output during the reporting period was due to the increase in eggs output by 6.6 percent, milk by 1.2 percent, meat and poultry by 1.4 percent and plant growing by 6.7 percent.
Turkistan region leads by the total value of agriculture, forestry, and fishery gross output, which reached 338.8 billion tenge ($711.9 million) from January through July 2022, showing a 4.4-percent increase compared to the same months of 2021.
This includes 110 billion tenge ($231.1 million) worth of plant growing output and 225.3 billion tenge ($473.4 million) of animal husbandry output.
Second and third places accounted for Almaty and Akmola regions.
Agriculture, forestry, and fishery gross output in the Almaty region amounted to 241.8 billion tenge ($508.1 million), which is 4.5 percent more than during the same period of 2021.
This includes 50.8 billion tenge ($106.8 million) worth of plant growing output and 188.6 billion tenge ($396.4 million) of animal husbandry output.
The value of agriculture, forestry, and fishery gross output in the Akmola region amounted to 192.3 billion tenge ($404.1 million), which is 0.6 percent more than during the same period of last year.
This includes 6.7 billion tenge ($14.2 million) worth of plant growing output and 183.3 billion tenge ($385.1 million) of animal husbandry output.
An increase in agriculture, forestry, and fishery gross output were observed in 15 Kazakh regions during the reporting period.
