TEHRAN, Iran, September 28. Iran’s export of food industries has increased about 10 to 25 percent in the current Iranian year (started March 21, 2022), said the chairman of House of Industry Mine and Trade in Tehran Province Mohamad Reza Mortazavi, Trend reports citing IRNA.
Trade Promotion Organization has taken steps to reassure private sector presence in export markets, he said adding that Iran’s export and business activities are predicted to grow and improve in the current Iranian year. Iran’s private sector has expanded export in the current year to Iraq and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) countries, he noted.
Due to the recession in the market and the fall of purchase power, Iranian companies are inclined to increase export instead of supplying commodities to the domestic market, he pointed out.
According to the official, Iran is expected to increase the export of commodities to Russia and import grain in the current year.
