BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 3. Crude copper production of the National Iranian Copper Industries Company (NICICO) increased by 5 percent, during the first eight months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through November 21, 2022), compared to its plan, Trend reports referring to the company’s website.
In total, the NICICO produced 197,702 tons of crude copper in 8 months.
In 8 months, the company produced 821,940 tons of copper concentrate, which is an increase of 6 percent compared to the plan.
At the same time, the company produced 230,295 tons of copper anode within 8 months. The production increased by 6 percent compared to the company’s plan.
Furthermore, the NICICO produced 194,652 tons of copper cathode for the reporting period, which is an increase of 8 percent compared to the plan.
As for the company's sulfuric acid production for 8 months, the production increased by 32 percent compared to the plan and amounted to 619,934 tons.
Meanwhile, over 145 million tons of minerals were extracted by the company in eight months. This is an increase of 17 percent compared to the company’s plan.
In general, the company's sales for 8 months amounted to 510 trillion rials (about $12.1 billion), which is an increase of 7 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year.
