BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 13. Iran Tractor Manufacturing Company (also known as ITMCO) has exported 2,500 tractors worth $45 million since the beginning of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2022 through March 12, 2023), CEO of the Company, Mostafa Vahidzadeh told IRNA, Trend reports.
The CEO said that the company's tractors were exported to 20 countries, mainly Russia, Türkiye, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Afghanistan, Iraq, Lebanon and other countries.
Vahidzadeh added that the company exported 500 tractors to Russia within a one-year period, and the country is expected to be ITMCO's biggest export market in the next two years.
“Iran Tractor Manufacturing Company aimed to produce 35,000 tractors for the current year (March 21, 2022 through March 20, 2023). However, due to a number of problems, including intermittent power supply, more than 31,000 tractors were produced in the country this year,” he noted.
Meanwhile, the company plans to produce 36,000 tractors over the next Iranian year (March 21, 2023 through March 19, 2024), according to the official.
There are 8 branches of Iran Tractor Manufacturing Company operating in Iran’s East Azerbaijan Province, 2 branches outside the province, and 2 branches outside Iran.
