BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 30. A Chinese businessman intends to invest $15 million worth of foreign investment in Iran’s Zanjan Province in the west of the country, Chairman of Industry, Mine and Trade of Organization of Zanjan Province, Majid Golshahi Monfarid told IRNA, Trend reports.
The chairman noted that a plant for the production of mining and paving machinery will be built in the province by making the mentioned amount of foreign investment.
According to him, a number of steps have been taken by the Industry, Mine, and Trade Organization of Zanjan Province in order to attract the mentioned investment, and an agreement on the construction of the plant was already signed between the Chinese businessman and the Governor of Zanjan Province.
“In the near future, an area for the construction of a plant will be allocated in Shahid Shahriari industrial park of the province. The construction and launch of this plant will result in increased employment in the province,” Golshahi Monfarid said.
Golshahi Monfarid added that the Chinese businessman also intends to establish a special industrial park for Chinese businessmen in the province. This park is planned located on an area of 300 hectares. It was decided to determine the location of this park within 15 days.
There are about 1,200 manufacturing and industrial enterprises in the Zanjan Province of Iran.
