BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 16. Iran's non-oil trade turnover with Uzbekistan increased by 41.7 percent in value and 55.9 percent in volume, during the first four months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through July 22, 2023), compared to the same period last year, Trend reports.
According to the statistics of the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA), the trade turnover between the two countries amounted to 180,000 tons worth approximately $130 million in 4 months.
Meanwhile, in the same period of last Iranian year, Iran's non-oil trade turnover with Uzbekistan stood at 115,000 tons worth approximately $91.7 million.
In the 4th month of the current Iranian year alone (June 22 through July 22, 2023), around 45,600 tons of goods worth $32.6 million were traded between Iran and Uzbekistan.
Over 4 months, the main goods traded between the two countries were milk and dairy products, petrochemical products, various types of pipes, cotton, beans, silk, etc.
Overall, the value of Iran's non-oil trade turnover was $35.4 billion within the first four months of the current Iranian year.
