BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 19. A number of facilities will be put into operation in Iran’s Markazi Province within the framework of 30 agricultural projects during the government week in Iran (August 24 through August 31, 2023), Director of the Markazi Province Agriculture Department Ali Safari said, Trend reports.
According to Safari, the mentioned facilities will operate in the processing industry, food industry, fishing, and other fields of the agricultural sector.
The director added that in total, 11.8 trillion rials (about $282 million) were spent on the establishment of these facilities.
He also pointed out that 645 people will be provided with jobs with the launch of these facilities.
Iran's Markazi Province has 670,000 hectares of agricultural and horticultural land. More than 3 million tons of agricultural products are harvested annually in the province.
